A Farm attack took place on 25 February 2023, at approximately 03:00, on the farm Zaailagte, in Vryheid in the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa.
Johan Els and his partner were overpowered in their home by four attackers.
They were tied up and the home was ransacked.
The attackers fled with a number of household items and the farmers bakkie.
The bakkie was abandoned and recovered later that morning.
After the alarm was raised local farmers and other role players responded to assist. The couple were not seriously injured but have been traumatised by the invasion.
Police are investigating but there have been no arrests.
