A farm attack took place on 16 December 2021, at 21:00, on a farm in Louwsburg near Vryheid, in the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa. Five armed attackers invaded the farmhouse and overpowered the family.
The attackers were looking for firearms.
The family who did not have any firearms were assaulted and tied up.
The attackers fled the scene in the families bakkie which was later found abandoned. The family only managed to free themselves a few hours later and walked to a neighbouring farm for assistance.
All role players responded and followed the tracks where the attackers further fled on foot. But there were no arrests.
