Durban K9 unit members were patrolling along Dr Pixley kaSeme when they stopped a suspicious silver Toyota Etios vehicle. When searching the vehicle which had four male occupants, three unlicensed firearms were recovered.

The vehicle also found that it was stolen in Umhlali area during May last year in a robbery. Four suspects aged between 21 and 29 were placed under arrest for possession of a suspected stolen property, possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition.

The suspects were also linked to other robberies reported in Umbumbulu and Umhlali area. They will appear tomorrow, 11 July 2018, in the Durban Magistrates’ Court.
