Drug operations are in full swing in the KwaZulu-Natal province. We want to assure the community that were are continuing to close the net on drug dealers and we remain committed to eradicating drug dealers from the province.

On the morning of 24 June 2021, police officers from the Provincial Organized Crime and Narcotics Unit conducted observations on a property in Margaret Mncadi Road following reports of illegal activities in one of the flats.

Following an initial investigation, a search warrant was obtained and police proceeded to the identified flat to conduct a search.

During the search, the police found 52 loops of cocaine powder and 23 loops of crystal meth.

The street value of the recovered drugs is R37 500-00. A 36-year-old suspect was placed under arrest for being in possession of drugs. The suspect will appear in the Durban Magistrate’s Court this morning.
