Drug dealer handed 10 year sentence, Camperdown

The Camperdown Regional Court sentenced Emmanuel Dladla (56) to 10 years direct imprisonment for dealing in drugs on Thursday 25 November 2021.

Dladla was arrested in April and October 2020 respectively with 898 kilograms of dagga.

Police received information about the man who was transporting dagga from Swaziland to the Northern Cape. He was arrested in Pietermaritzburg in April and in October, he was caught in Camperdown.

The accused appeared in court on several occasions until he was convicted. He was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment for each count of dealing in drugs which will run concurrently.
