An employee of a truck shop used Doom bug spray on Thursday night to scare of robbers in Hazelmere, KwaZulu-Natal.
At approximately 20:20 Reaction Unit South Africa received a call from the employee requesting assistance after two men forced open the doors to a shipping container which was being used as a truck shop.
Reaction officers were dispatched to the scene and upon arrival it was established that the victim was asleep inside the container when the robbers broke in. He grabbed a can of Doom and sprayed the two men in their eyes. Both suspects fled the scene without taking anything. The suspects are known to the victim.
Reaction officers conducted an extensive search for the two men however no arrests were made.
