DJ hijacked and taken on terror ride in Durban

A Gagasi FM radio presenter was hijacked for his brown Renault Clio with registration NU 61065 in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, during the early parts of this morning.

The victim was then taken on a terror ride before being dumped in a cane field in Esenembe, north of Durban.

At approximately 08:15 this morning members of Reaction Unit South Africa were on patrol in Esenembe when they were stopped by the victim. He claimed that at approximately 04:00am this morning he was hijacked in the parking lot of a nightclub in Durban by three armed suspects.

The suspects forced the victim into the vehicle before driving him to an ATM in Clermont were they drew R1000 from his account. They then drove to Esenembe when they bound and gagged him with rope and a t-shirt before dumping him in the cane field and fleeing in his vehicle.

After a few hours the victim managed to untie himself before making his way to the main road were he flagged down the passing RUSA Officers.
