Four suspects aged between 33 and 43 appeared in court on Monday, 16 September 2019 after they were arrested for transporting dagga.
Three suspects were arrested on the R33 Highway in Paulpietersburg after they were found in a bakkie with 10 bags of dagga weighing more than 110 kilograms. Investigations revealed that the dagga was transported from Swaziland to Ladysmith.
The suspects were charged for possession of dagga and they appeared at the Paulpietersburg Magistrates Court.
A suspect was also arrested at Makhobeni Reserve while transporting more than 74 kilograms of dagga in a hired vehicle. The 34 year old driver was charged for possession of dagga and he appeared at the Pongola Magistrates Court.
