A man and a woman were found dead in their bakkie in Durban’s Kwadabeka area on Sunday.
Police spokeswoman Captain Nqobile Gwala said police believed that the 28-year-old woman had been shot by her 34-year-old husband who then turned the gun on himself.
“Police have opened an inquest docket and a case of murder,” she said.
Netcare 911 spokesman Chris Botha said paramedics arrived on the scene but there was little that they could do for the two except to declare them dead at the scene.
