A gang of robbers accessed a home on a smallholding in Heatonville, outside Empangeni on Wednesday, March 1 and was busy eating when Bruce and Denise Harvey arrived home around 17H00.
The suspects overpowered Denise, assaulted her and then and tied her up. Bruce was stabbed with a screwdriver, in his abdomen and hit over the head, dragged to a bedroom where the suspects demanded money.
The suspects fled with cash, bankcards, mobile phone, valuable household goods and the couple’s Fiat Uno, registration number NUF41167.
The police and community security responded to the incident.
