An operation was carried out by police officers from the Provincial Drug and Firearm Unit from 24 to 26 November 2020. The team went to Port Shepstone where 200 capsules of heroin were found abandoned. The value of the recovered drugs is R6 000-00.

On 25 November 2020, the team proceeded to Sydenham where they went to one of the flats. Upon arrival at the flat, police recovered 700 anti-depressant tablets that were found abandoned on a staircase in the block of flats. The value of the tablets is R7 000-00.

On the night of 26 November 2020, they went to Bellair area after they received intelligence about a man in possession of drugs. They proceeded to Rosswane Road in Bellair where a 37-year-old man was found in possession of 124 grams of cocaine powder, eight plastic packets containing crystal meth and eight pieces of rock cocaine valued at R40 000-00. The suspect was placed under arrest for possession of drugs.

He is appearing before the Durban Magistrates Court.
