Cocaine and mandrax dealer arrested, Phoenix

A 38-year-old man is expected to appear in the Verulam Magistrates Court on 20 July 2020, for dealing in drugs. The arrest emanates from an intelligence driven operation that was conducted by the Provincial Organised Investigations on 17 July 2020.

Police pounced on the suspect at the business premises on Stanmore Drive in Phoenix and recovered mandrax and cocaine. The recovered drugs have an estimated street value of more than R9000-00. Cash suspected to be from the proceeds of the drug trade was also seized.

The suspect was immediately arrested and detained for dealing in drugs. Similar operations will continue to root out the drug trade in the Phoenix policing precinct.
