Chaos reigned in Isipingo Rail as suspects and looters pounce on premises during heavy storm
In the midst of the heavy storms last night, alleged whoonga suspects looted and broke into some premises on Old Main Road in Isipingo Rail.
Alpha Alarms Tactical Unit and Response Team dashed to the scene to maintain order as alleged suspects prowled around striking at every opportunity.
The Alpha Alarms Team worked under extreme pressure and extenuating circumstances to assist on scene.
The Fire department personnel were on scene to assist in pumping water off the flooded roadway. Also, during the course of the night, a doctor’s surgery on Old Main Road was broken into by an unknown number of suspects.
The surgery had been flooded at the time and the premises was inaccessible. The suspects are believed to have entered through the roof and ransacked the surgery before stealing laptops, flat screen TVs, PCs and other items.
A window was broken and a garage door damaged.
The suspects are alleged to have disconnected the power supply before they entered the premises.
They also left items of their clothing behind at the scene.
The police are investigating the matter.
