At 08:25 Monday morning, 28 october 2019, Netcare 911 responded to reports of a shooting at the Tembelishwe Railway Station in Kwamashu, North of Durban.

Reports from the scene indicate that cash in transit robbery had taken place. Medics assessed the scene and found that an adult male guard had sustained serious injuries after being shot twice with a low calibre weapon.

The patient required Advanced Life Support intervention to stabilise him.

Once treated the patient was transported Netcare 911 Paramedic and Life Response ambulance to the hospital for further treatment.

The scene was secured by the SAPS in order for investigations to take place.
