The local government elections have not stopped crime from happening around the country. South Africa has an extremely high crime rate and there is no stopping the criminals from operating.
An Alpha Tactical Officer responded to an armed robbery at a general store off Old Main Road at about 5pm yesterday.
Five armed suspects stormed into the store and held up the owner at gunpoint. They threatened patrons and the owner at the busy store. The suspects fled on foot with a large sum of money and dispersed into the crowd.
The suspects were identified by the store owner as being the same males who robbed the business about two months previously. It is alleged that there is a syndicate operating in the Isipingo CBD as several businesses have been targeted recently.
