The Durban Westville Campus of the University of Natal will be closed until 12 August 2018.
Confrontations between police and students have once again disrupted classes and a changing room and toilet were set on fire.
A member of the security department has been injured and, as in most cases, no arrests have been made.
Meanwhile, the University of Venda has been closed indefinitely after violent demonstrations at the campus.
