A suspect was shot during an attempted robbery in Pinetown on Friday morning.
Blue Security community and media liaison officer Andreas Mathios said one suspect had attempted to disarm an SBV officer just after a cash van arrived to collect cash from a business premises in Hill Street at around 10.40am.
“The suspect approached the security guard and attempted to disarm him of his firearm and was shot in his left arm during the scuffle. Maponya 911 paramedics responded to the scene and attended to the injured suspect,” Mathios said.
Pinetown SAPS has investigated at the scene of the crime.
