Khulekani Msimang (33), appeared on 11 December 2017, in the Pinetown Magistrates’ Court for murder and the case was remanded to 18 December 2017 for bail application.
Msimang was arrested by Pinetown detectives for allegedly killing his girlfriend’s second boyfriend Sthembiso Msomi (30).
It is alleged on 25 November 2017, at Nazareth, Pinetown, Msomi and his girlfriend attended a party, after the party they went to the girlfriend’s home where they spent the night. While they were still asleep, Msimang came and when he saw Msomi in the house an argument ensued which subsequently led to Msimang assaulting Msomi.
Msomi sustained injuries and was rushed to the hospital for medical attention. He died on 6 December 2017 due to the injuries sustained.
An intense police investigation led to the arrest of Msimang while he was hiding in Mpumalanga Township on the 8 December 2017.
