A seven-year-old boy has died after an alleged hit-and-run on Fannin road in Pinetown yesterday afternoon.
At approximately 15h10, ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the boy being held by his sister. They were surrounded by a group of people at the time.
The boy had sustained serious injuries and was immediately given advanced life support.
After cardiopulmonary resuscitation, nothing more could be done for the boy and unfortunately he was declared dead before paramedics could arrive at R.K.Khan Hospital.
Local authorities will be conducting an investigation into the matter.
