Bound man rescued after being thrown off cliff, Kloof

During the early hours of the morning of 20 September 2017, members from Durban Search And Rescue and K9 Search And Rescue were called out to the Viewpoint at Bridle Road in Kloof.

A 27 year old man was thrown over the cliff by four suspects at 8pm the previous night.

Blue Security responded to calls from the community reporting calls for help from the Kloof Gorge. EMRS, Fire And Rescue, SAPS, ER 24 Medical, Rescue Tech and volunteers converged on the scene.

A rescue team comprising all of the role players was established. The victim was located and found on a ledge 15 meters below the cliff edge.

He was found with cable ties around his wrists.

After being stabilized, he was transported to hospital by Ambulance with moderate injuries. An attempted Murder docket is being investigated by Hillcrest SAPS.
