On 14 October 2020, Dhunpall Rajkumar (53) was reported missing at Malvern SAPS. His truck was found abandoned at Chatsworth. On the following day at 07:30, his lifeless body was found in an abandoned house at Mount Vernon Road in Bellair.
His hands and legs were tied with cable ties. He also sustained bruises on his face. A case of murder was opened for investigation at Bellair SAPS. Detectives from Bellair worked tireless to follow all possible leads about the suspect involved in the murder. They managed to trace and arrest a 35-year-old suspect in the Chatsworth on Friday, 16 October 2020. She is expected to appear before the Durban Magistrate’s Court.
The Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Khombinkosi Jula welcomed the arrest of the suspect.
