Immediately after the brutal killing of three family members in Dlebe area, a detective Task Team was formed. Police worked tirelessly from the date the crime was committed up to the early hours of 6 December 2019, when three suspects were arrested at Dlebe.
A blood stained panga that is suspected to have been used during the commission of the crime was also recovered. The suspects will appear at Mahlabathini Magistrates Court soon facing charges of murder.
On 3 December 2019, at 06:00, Mahlabathini police received a report of murder at Dlebe and proceeded to the scene. On arrival they found the bodies of three family members aged between 11 and 68 in a house that was on fire.
On further investigation police noticed that one victim was burnt beyond recognition and two were chopped with bush knife.
