A Verulam farmer is concerned that meat found dumped on his farm is contaminated and poses a health risk to his staff and his animals.

Manna Naidoo, the ex mayor of Verulam contacted Reaction Unit South Africa this morning after his farm assistant found several carcasses and heads of animals in a sugarcane property next his home.

Naidoo informed Reaction Officers that the meat could also have been poisoned to kill his dogs so that he could be easier attacked by armed robbers. He believes that this might be the modus operandi of a group suspects that recently attempted to attack him on his farm a few months ago. A stolen car was used by the suspects.

If you have any information on the persons or company that has dumped the carcasses on the farm, please contact Manna Naidoo on 0788570994.

A criminal case has been registered.
