An operation was conducted by Pietermaritzburg Public Order Police at Ngodini area at Amangwe.
Three rifles, a shotgun and eight live rounds of rifle ammunition were found abandoned and confiscated.
They were taken to the police station for further investigation. All recovered firearms will be subjected for ballistic testing to determine if they were used in the commission of any crime in the country.
