A Toyota Tazz was completely destroyed after it was petrol bombed on the corner of Himalaya Drive and Todd Street in Everest Heights, Verulam on 5 June 2018.
Upon arrival at the scene members of Reaction Unit South Africa found the Toyota Tazz engulfed in flames. One of the victims was located at a home on Olivine Road in Everest Heights.
He explained that two balaclava clad suspects attacked him and a friend before they petrol bombed the vehicle. The victims managed to flee in different directions. One victim has been located while a search for the second man is currently underway.
The motive for the attacked is believed to be related to taxi violence.
