Members of Reaction Unit South Africa arrived at Ackermans on Ireland Street in the Verulam CBD following an armed robbery that occurred on 1 March 2018.
According to witnesses three men entered the store and produced 9mm pistols.
They threatened to shoot employees if they activated the panic button. The suspects then robbed the business of an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing on foot.
During their escape, they robbed a woman of her handbag in the mall.
Three employees of Ackermans were transported to hospital after one of them fainted and the remaining two displayed signs of shock.
