An armed reaction officer has sustained injuries after an attack by a knif-wielding suspect who attempted to break into a home in the Caneside Area, Phoenix.
The suspect was disturbed by neighbors and Fleeing the scene, a proper description was provided to the Response Units who were circling the area in search of the suspect.
Moments later the suspect was spotted and during the apprehension of the suspect an Altercation occurred and the suspect managed to inflict injuries on the armed reaction officer.
The suspect managed to evade arrest, KZNVIP Medics responded to the scene and stabilised the injured officer who sustained puncture wounds from a rusted knife and was transported to a medical facility for further assessment.
No items were taken from the home.
