A 23-year-old murder suspect is set appear in the Pinetown Magistrate’s court on 23 July 2020. On 21 July 2020, Pinetown police officers arrested a suspect for alleged murder of his friend, Sphamandla Dlamini (24).

It is alleged that on 20 June 2020, the suspect and the deceased were at Zamokuhle area in Wyebank when an argument broke out. The suspect allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed his friend three times and fled the area. The victim sustained neck, chest and arm injuries and was taken to the hospital for medical attention where he succumbed to his injuries.

A case of murder was opened at the Pinetown police station for further investigation and police began searching for the suspect. Police received intelligence that the suspect was back and proceeded the area where they arrested the suspect.
