An ANC regional meeting in Howick Natal ended in chaos. The meeting was convened to inform regional representatives about forthcoming election conferences after the provincial executive committee was dissolved by the Pietermaritzburg High Court.
Bodyguards and protectors of certain ANC leaders walked openly with handguns after the meeting was dissolved.
Combating parties between Nkosazana-Dlamini Zuma and Ramaphosa, as well as those who still support Jacob Zuma, have already been involved in disputes for months regarding the annulment of the election of the provincial executive committee.
