Just after 8:30 am this morning ALS Paramedics responded to the Moorton Shopping Centre where a Metro Policeman had been knocked down by a taxi.
Paramedics arrived on the scene to find the seriously injured officer lying on the roadway.
Advanced Life Support Paramedics worked to stabilize the Policeman believed to be in his thirties on the scene who had sustained multiple injuries before he was rushed to a nearby hospital for the further care that he required.
The taxi driver is believed to have been arrested by Metro Police.
SAPS also attended and both Metro Police and SAPS will be investigated further….
