Just before 8 pm on Saturday evening ALS Paramedics responded to a shooting incident in Cliffdale area West of Durban.
Paramedics arrived on the scene after being escorted by SAPS members to the active crime scene. Once arrived Paramedics had to park their vehicles and walk approximately 200 metres, where they found a tent where it is alleged that a funeral was taking place when the shooting occurred.
Paramedics were shown to where three people were found around the tent. Two men who were members of the South African Police Services had sustained gunshot wounds and unfortunately there was nothing Paramedics could do for them and they were declared deceased on the scene.
A female believed to be in her forties was also found with fatal gunshot wounds and she too was declared deceased on the scene.
At this stage the events leading up to the shooting is unknown however all necessary authorities were in attendance and will be investigating further.
Update: a 4th Member of Public believed to be the Mother of the female has been also found deceased due to gunshot wounds this brings the death toll to four now.
