A 77 year old man suffered minor injuries yesterday after being robbed by 2 suspects while walking on Todd Street, Verulam, KwaZulu-Natal.
At approximately 14:25 the victim was brought to Reaction Unit South Africa’s operation center after he was assisted by a couple who were driving past and witnessed the robbery in progress.
The elderly man explained that while walking on Todd Street two suspects forced him to the ground and began searching him. They then robbed him of his wallet containing R500 in cash and his bank cards.
The victim was continuously slammed to the ground by the suspects and was only released when the couple stopped to assist. Both suspects then fled onto the R102.
