On Sunday, 13 November 2022 at 16:30, Durban Central police officers were on duty and were patrolling along St George’s Street.

Whilst patrolling, police noticed a vehicle parked outside the shop with two male occupants in the vehicle.

When the occupants noticed police officers, they attempted to reverse out and the police officers blocked them.

A search was conducted and police found various household items in the vehicle as well as latex gloves.

Upon further investigation it was established that the suspects were involved in a house robbery case that occurred in the Westville area.

It was confirmed by Westville police that the same vehicle was used in the house robbery that took place on the same day at 15:30. The recovered property was positively identified by the lawful owner.

The suspects aged 20 and 25 were placed under arrested for possession of stolen property.
