Operations by the police officers from the Provincial Drug and Firearm Unit are still on-going in the province to nab the suspects involved in criminal activities.
This was followed by an operation that was conducted on the morning of 27 January 2022 in Lamontville.
The team pounced on two unsuspecting suspects on Mtshali Place in Lamontville where drugs were recovered. Two suspects aged 26 and 33 were found in possession of various drugs such as heroin, mandrax, ecstasy, rock cocaine and cocaine powder.
They were placed under arrest for possession and dealing in drugs.
The recovered drugs are estimated at R108 200-00. The suspects appeared in the Wentworth Magistrates Court on 28 January 2022.
