Ten heavily armed suspects hijacked a Mt Edgecombe family on Inanda Road in Parlock, Newlands West on Sunday 13 June 2021. Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received a call from the victim who was hijacked outside a Doctors Surgery by men armed with AK47’s and 9mm pistols.
The suspects pointed firearms at the victim, his wife and a ten year old child.
A 2014 Blue Golf R with registration NUR 1907 was taken. The vehicle has a lowered suspension, extremely loud exhaust system and a R-Club sticker on the rear glass. The suspects then fled in a Mercedes Benz and a BMW.
Reaction Officers were later informed that the victims Blue Golf R was used to hijack a Mercedes Benz in the Newlands West area.
No injuries were reported.
