A peaceful protest was held in Munsieville, near Krugersdorp, on Monday, Gauteng police said.
The protest, featuring around 2000 residents, started around 07:00, spokesperson Sergeant Thepiso Mashale told News24.
She said the protest was believed to be related to the municipality.
“Nothing was reported, no property was damaged. It ended around 10:45. That’s when they dispersed.”
Traffic officers and public order policing monitored proceedings.
