Jurgen Rombauts, assassinated in driveway of Cape Town home

April 28 2014 – Flemish-Belgian immigrant Jurgen Rombauts, 27, assassinated in driveway of Cape Town South Africa home: Dad says son was murdered in revenge.

Report: Rombouts is the son of Jan, who chairs the Board of the Belgium Campus in the north of Pretoria, was shot and killed in his driveway in Cape Town on Friday afternoon. Jan, who resides in Roodeplaat, believes that his son was killed as part of a plot of revenge. He has offered a reward of R100 000 for any information regarding the death of his son. According to Enrico Jacobs, Jürgen’s brother in law, Jürgen was a witness in a house break-in case that happened earlier this year. Jacobs said that Jürgen was shot in his BMW while leaving his home for work.

“A red Nissan bakkie allegedly drove into his car and six bullets were fired at him,” Jacobs explained. Jürgen’s fiancée, Chanel Victor, was with him in the car but sustained no injuries. According to Jacobs, the Nissan bakkie was found 300m from the scene, partially burnt out.NOTHING WAS ROBBED.
Jürgen emigrated to South Africa from Belgium in 1997 and attended Theresapark Afrikaans Laerskool and Akasia Hoërskool. ….
