The storms in and around Johannesburg are being described as ‘nothing short of a disaster.’ There is a warning that it is not over and more rain, flash floods, and strong winds are expected for today and Saturday.
The SA Weather Service said yesterday that there was an 80% chance of severe thunderstorms and showers in Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Free State and parts of KwaZulu-Natal.
Parts of Gauteng are still reeling from the damage caused by this week’s floods and in the video a compilation of storms around Johannesburg show the extensive damage, flooding and disaster caused by flash floods and strong wind.
