Energy expert Ted Blom has accused Eskom of lying about their denial of phase 5 power outages. According to Blom, Eskom announced on Tuesday 19 March 2019, that their 4,900 MW power had “dropped” and according to Eskom’s own definitions that is already Phase 5.
If the president can lie, Eskom can also lie, the argument that is now doing the rounds on social media.
With the latest revelation, experts believe that we will soon notice Phase 6 creeping in, and that the debt burden on the South African economy is growing faster than economists predicted.
