The mother of Stompie Seipei’s house will be refurbished by the ANC in Parys. Stompie and three other minors were hijacked by Winnie Mandela’s bodyguards in 1988. He was accused of being an apartheid spy and later executed using the cruel necklace method.

After Winnie Mandela’s death in April this year, Ace Magashule promised Stompie’s mother that her house would be refurbished. Mandela was never prosecuted after Stompie’s death and later she was relieved from all blame.

Apparently the ANC, after thirty years, is feeling guilty of acts committed by their cadres.

Meanwhile, Winnie Mandela’s house in Brandfort, which is now a museum, is being refurbished at the expense of taxpayers for R1,6 million.

There have been allegations of corruption during the refurbishment attempt, but it does not appear that it is to be investigated after the allegations were made.
