Hotel armed robbery in Cape Town

An employee at the Castle Hotel confirmed that there had been a robbery at the venue in Cape Town’s Central Business District on Monday.

The employee, Eric, told News24 that there had been an incident at about 06:30 and confirmed that items had been stolen but refused to say more.

“It’s all under investigation,” was all he would say.

Eyewitness News reported that police vans and ADT security vehicles were seen parked outside the building after the armed robbery.
