An alleged hijacker was killed in an accident on Wednesday morning near Vanderbijlpark. The collision was between a motor vehicle and a truck.
“The accident occurred at the intersection of the R553 and the R28 between Vanderbijlpark and Sebokeng,” said a spokesperson for ER24 in a statement.
“The person allegedly hijacked a motor vehicle, stabbed the driver with a knife and then fled the scene with the stolen car. While fleeing he collided with a truck and sustained fatal injuries.”
The victim of the alleged hijacking sustained stab wounds and was transported by ER24 paramedics to Sebokeng Hospital for further treatment.
Authorities are investigating.
