Despite kisses, hugs, and toyi-toyi dances with her fans, the former Democratic Alliance (DA) leader Helen Zille, has now became the victim of the tendency that white people must no longer identify things by name. Zille is now portrayed as the chief racist.
This follows Zille’s tweet in which she asked why it is acceptable to classify a person by race in the workplace, but not to identify his race in a restaurant.
The tweet has since been removed from a twitter account, after the ANC in the Western Cape kicked up a fuss over her remark.
It is still unclear if the DA will take any action against Zille, as her successor, leader of the party, Mmusi Maimane, is extremely sensitive to racism issues.
