Head of operational intelligence questioned

Die Vryburger

Another intelligence appointment by Jacob Zuma is being questioned as General Major Feroz Khan has no security clearance. He has therefore occupied his post illegally since 1997.

Senior intelligence staff must receive a top security clearance before they can access confidential documents.

He also operates a spare parts business without the necessary approval of his heads. This business, Spares Oasis, is worth more than R21 million and receives a salary of R250 000 per month from the business.

Khan is one of the men who suddenly received a double promotion, in his case of Colonel to General Major.
