Although a few details have been announced, the board of the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa, ICASA, has confirmed that its chief executive, Pakamile Pongwana, has been suspended.
No reasons have been given, but for what it is worth, it is said that Pongwana has been suspended as “a precautionary measure.”
Meanwhile, current head of operations, Willington Ngwepe, will act as chief executive officer.
