The ANC government private health care investigation is already costing taxpayers millions of rand. Wasting money just goes on and on and gives the impression that such investigations are a new form of corruption where some people enrich themselves.

The Competition Commission’s investigation into Health Care’s cost the state R196 million.

The five panel members were reimbursed as follows: Dr Cees Van Gent of the Netherlands received R11.7 million, Dr Ntuthuko Bhengu R9.7 million, dr. Lungiswa Nkonki R6 million and Prof Sharon Fonn R3.3 million.

Presiding judge Ngcobo received R5.9m.

The rest of the huge amount was used up by operational, legal, data, security and media costs.

The report will apparently be published in March 2019.
