After weeks of silence, Cyril Ramaphosa finally joined in defending Pravin Gordhan and asked that others join him and support Gordan. In a conversation with the Jewish Council, Ramaphosa considered the criticism of Gordhan as a disease in the country and asked people to praise Gordan for his brave actions before the commission of inquiry.
Meanwhile, Pravin decided that “enough is enough” and laid two complaints against EFF leader Julius Malema. The complaints are defamation and crimen injuria.
Meanwhile, the EFF leadership team apparently said they were going to lay a charge of corruption against Gordhan at the same police station in Pretoria.
