The body of a woman, believed to be in her 30s, was found this morning lying in a ditch along the Jukskei River along the Saffier Road in Jukskei Park.
ER24 paramedics, along with another service, arrived on the scene shortly before 07h00 after they were called by local authorities.
It is believed that a jogger had spotted the body and had immediately called the authorities.
On arrival, paramedics found the body of a woman lying in the ditch. Assessment showed that the woman had siustained a large wound to her neck and showed no signs of life. Unfortunately, nothing could be done for her and she was declared dead.
The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
