Members of the South African Police Service team tasked with fighting gang related activities and fighting the scourge of drugs in the Sophiatown policing precinct, on Tuesday afternoon, 30 July 2019, arrested a suspect for possession of an unlicensed firearm, ammunition and drugs in Westbury.
The members were following up on information of a suspected gang member seen in Westbury.
Police also recovered stolen property during the arrest.
The suspect will be appearing at Sophiatown Magistrate Court soon facing charges of possession of unlicensed firearm, ammunition and stolen property.
