Paramedics attended to two people that were wounded on near Apex train station in Benoni on the evening of 14 March 2018.
Shortly after 5pm, paramedics from ER24 and local EMS arrived on the scene where they found two people with gunshot wounds. A man was found with multiple gunshot wounds. He was in a critical condition and being attended to by local EMS.
Paramedics from ER24 were escorted to another man, believed to be sixty years old. He was found with a serious gunshot wound to his abdomen. Both men were treated and stabilised on scene before they were transported to hospital.
Bystanders explained that both men were on the train when the incident occurred.
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident is not yet known. Police attended the scene and will conduct an investigation.
